Knitting is forming a series of courses and multiple loops of yarn to create a textile. There are two main types of knitting: warp knitting and weft knitting, each of which can be created by hand or machine. There are many variations of knitting structures and patterns that have evolved from basic knitting principles.
In the textile lab we offer 3 different types of mechanical knitting machines, according to what you want to knit and the weight of knitting you want to produce: the hand machine needle 7 and 12; the Brother machine KH-860 and the Pfaff duomatic.
We also have a winder that winds yarns into yarn cones ready to be knitted. We also have knitting needles and several yarns of different colors and compositions.
