Screen printing is the process of pressing ink through a stenciled mesh screen, with the aid of a blade or squeegee, to create a printed design. Multi-color designs are made using a screen for each color. The use of silk screen dates back to the 17th century; today nylon or polyester mesh is used and the stencil is processed using a photographic emulsion.
