LOTTOZERO OPEN
Since 2021
LZ OPEN is an exhibition format that showcases works and projects by local artists at irregular intervals in the Lottozero Kunsthalle.
In 2021 we presented"Abysses" (2018), by Virginia Zanetti, in which the artist merges textile art and performance while addressing migration themes. Through collaborative work with migrants and residents of Palermo, she created an embroidered piece that explores the abyss as a metaphor for the impenetrability of human destiny.

Sands Storms in Medio Mundi I-III is an investigation on the element of the earth and its connections within the sky, inspired by the work of philosopher and orientalist Henri Corbin. This intermediate axis between earth and sky is explored through a series of large tapestries hand woven by the artist, in collaboration with expert weavers and textile restorers.
